Holidays and Coffee
Hello Mommas!
Welcome to my second blog post ever! I’m still not quite sure what people normally blog about, but I’m finding my footing and figuring out what I want to talk about. So bear with this momma. Lol!
Being in my 40s with a toddler has been quite the adventure—exciting, exhausting, and incredibly rewarding all at the same time. My little one is now starting to understand Christmas… at least in the sense that there’s Santa, presents, a Christmas tree, and—depending on where you live—snow. Here in Michigan, we can get a lot of snow.
My little loves Christmas, and I love that she loves Christmas. It truly makes me so happy. On the flip side, though? The constant Ms. Rachel Christmas videos, the same Mickey Mouse Christmas movies, Baby Shark Christmas episodes, and on and on… I’m about to bang my head on the table. I’m sure a lot of mommas can relate.
We love our kids, and we’ll practically do anything for them. But for this momma, I have to put a limit on how much Christmas stuff we watch and listen to—otherwise, I might actually go insane. What do you guys do? Do you limit your kids, or do you just tune it out and let them watch and listen to all the Christmas content they want? I’m genuinely curious.
We’re also moving three days before Christmas, which might explain why my patience is wearing thin. Between selling a house, buying a house, and moving 200 miles away, the logistics are absolutely nuts. And don’t even get me started on the packing. Add the holidays on top of all that, and it’s just a lot of stress piling up.
Most mornings, I take my little to daycare, and by the time I get home, I finally have my first sip of coffee. I love my coffee. Lately, though, I’ve been feeling a little bored with it. We currently get Biggby Best (for those outside Michigan, it’s similar to Starbucks), but I’m craving something bolder and more heady.
I like my coffee strong and thick, with hints of caramel and chocolate notes. What about you? Do you prefer breakfast blends, dark roasts, or medium roasts? Tell me your favorite brands or flavors—I want to know!
That's it for now! I truly hope you have the best day and enjoy that cup of coffee! ☕️
